How do I know my skin type?

First method:

  • Madam, wash your face of any cosmetics with lukewarm water and any lotion you like, then dry it well with a cotton towel.
  • Wait for an hour without applying any powders or cream to your skin.
  • Bring a tissue and press it on all areas of the skin, such as the nose, forehead, chin, etc.
  • Examine the effect of these areas after pressing them with the tissue.
  • Then you will be able to determine your skin type accurately.
  • If your skin is oily, you will notice the effects of oils on the nose, forehead, chin, forehead, etc.
  • As for complex skin , you will find traces of oil in the nose and forehead only, but not the rest of the face. You will find it dry.
  • If your skin is dry , you may not notice any effect at all, and some flakes may appear on the skin, which indicates its dryness.
  • As for your normal skin , you will find that the tissue is completely clean and does not contain any trace of oily substances or dryness.

Second method:

1- Normal skin:

Normal skin is a balanced skin type. The T-zone (nose, chin and forehead) may be a bit oily, but in general, oil and moisture are balanced and the skin is neither too oily nor too dry.
This skin type is known through the blotting technique. Your tissue will have a smaller amount of translucent dots on it. This will indicate that you do not have completely oily skin nor are you completely dry.

2- Dry skin:

Dry skin can feel tight throughout the day, and may suffer from noticeable flaking, appearing rough and dull, even after washing your face with a gentle cleanser. This type of skin is prone to increased irritation and sensitivity, and you will notice noticeable fine lines and wrinkles on your face as well.
To know this type of skin, wash your face with a gentle cleanser and leave it for an hour without putting anything on it, then place a blotting paper on your face. If the paper is not stained , this indicates that your skin is dry. It will dry and tighten on your entire face during this process.

3- Oily skin:

Oily skin is the result of excessive production of natural oil from the sebaceous glands in your skin. This often occurs due to fluctuations in humidity, hormones, increased stress level etc. Your skin feels oily (especially across your T-zones and chin). Excessive oiliness can result in To clogged pores.
People with oily skin also face many problems like acne, blemishes, acne marks etc.

To check whether your skin is oily or not, use the patting method .
Once you wake up in the morning, wash your face with a gentle cleanser and wait for an hour without putting anything on it. Take a blotting paper and wipe it all over the face. Your skin is often oily . If your blotting paper turns blotchy and translucent in most places, make sure to check the entire face.

4- Mixed skin:

People with combination skin experience dryness in the cheeks and oiliness in the T-zone (nose, chin, and forehead). This is the most common skin type with two or more tissues. The sebaceous glands of the nose, chin, and forehead tend to be overactive while the pores on the cheek and jawline are less active. This is why your skin looks oily in the T-zone and dry and flaky around the cheeks and the remaining area.
To find out this type of skin, use two different blotting papers, one on your T-zone and the other on your cheeks. Using patting techniques, the blotting paper in your T-zone will help it become transparent and another sheet will remain dry or normal. This indicates that you have combination skin.

5 – Sensitive skin:

Dealing with sensitive skin can be difficult, as it takes a lot of time and effort to identify the ingredients that cause inflammation and irritation.
To know this skin type, you must note that if your skin appears some irritation and redness immediately after applying any product to your skin, this indicates that your skin is sensitive .
In this type of skin, the skin feels itchy and tight. It also becomes oily in the summer and dry in the winter. It reacts to skin care and becomes red after bathing with hot water. This indicates that you have sensitive skin.
